Yappily – The Social Network for Shopping Brought More Than 10,000 People Together for ‘Declutter and Flea Market’ Sale in Bengaluru
Yappily.com, a mobile-based social network for shopping, brought a large number of people together with its unique concept ‘Declutter Sale and Flea Market’ marking its presence for the 4th time in the city of Gardens, Bengaluru. The event took place on the 3rd-4th September, at Elan convention center, JP Nagar. This exciting flea Market witnessed 10,000+ visitors checking out 2 Lakh+ items on display across a variety of categories from nearly 100 sellers.
The event saw shopping enthusiasts across various age groups enjoying at the event along with lots of fun activities like music band, live shows, fashion brand launch and music all through the weekend. Food trucks and stalls offering street food, southern delicacies and healthy treats attracted large crowds of visitors.
With this unique platform, Yappily is promoting decluttering in Bengaluru and will soon be launched pan India. With these ‘Declutter Sale and Flea Market’ events, Yappily is bringing decluttering and purchasing of unique, handcrafted and designer items, to consumers. The collections from sellers comprised of various categories, like clothes, jewelry, home furnishing, artifacts, accessories, books and much more.
The event also had a child sponsorship program conducted by – The Join Hands Foundation and Rakshana Charitable Trust where people were encouraged to contribute and make a difference to the lives of under-privileged children.
The CEO of Yappily, Mr. Rashmi R Padhy shared, “This is our first event in J.P Nagar, and in this side of the city and it turned out to be a huge success. Our previous events were in HSR Layout, Indiranagar, and HAL. Yappily, an android app, is a social network exclusively for shopping. Our goal is to connect the buyers and sellers effectively through these flea markets. We also do the same thing offline. We are looking forward to conduct many more similar events in Bengaluru and will eventually take it to other Indian cities. Currently our mobile app caters only to Bangalore but will soon be launched in other tier 1 and metro cities.”
With this fourth successful event, the concept of creating an experience ‘Of the people, by the people, for the people’, has become evident helping buyers discover great products which otherwise is not available easily. With this event, Yappily has not only provided a platform for promoting decluttering and recycling as a concept but has also given handcrafted product sellers across the country, a medium to reach out to consumers.
