Yamaha Saluto RX 110cc launched at a price of Rs 46,400
New Delhi: The mystery bike from Yamaha is actually a downsized version of the Saluto. Called the Yamaha Saluto RX, the 110cc bike will take on the likes of Mahindra Centuro, Honda Dream Yuga, TVS Star City Plus, Honda Livo and other 110cc motorcycles in India. Launched at Rs 46,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Saluto RX fills the void left by Yamaha Crux upon its discontinuation.
Powering the bike is a downsized engine of the existing Yamaha Saluto which has a 125cc engine. This engine has been downsized to 110cc BSIV engine.
In terms of styling, the Yamaha Saluto RX looks largely identical to its 125cc sibling and features 10-spoke aluminium alloy wheels, digital instrument cluster, engine start-stop button, etc.
Since it targets semi-urban and rural markets, it has been tuned to deliver an impressive 82kmpl, thus making it one of the most fuel-efficient motorcycles in its league.

Yamaha has made a comeback into the entry-level bikes segment in the Indian market with this launch. Currently, this is a segment ruled by companies like Hero Motorcorp and Bajaj. This new bike will be placed below the current Saluto 125cc in the market by the company.
