Yamaha Motor India signed an MoU with Loyola Industrial Training Institute, located in Bangalore to inaugurate Yamaha Training School (YTS) in the premises of the college.
This new initiative by the two-wheeler maker is to promote and encourage youngsters, both males and females to acquire technical knowledge and expertise, which will help them secure employment at Yamaha dealerships.
This initiative is a part of Yamaha’s continued CSR program. Technical experts from Yamaha Technical Academy (YTA), the company’s training division will provide support in conducting the YTS program by training the trainers and the students.
Commenting on the occasion, Ravinder Singh, the Vice President of Strategy and Planning at Yamaha Motor India said, “At present, there is a huge skills gap in the industry and a large number of youngsters are pressed towards unemployment due to lack of technical skills.”
“With this MoU, Yamaha will develop a synergetic partnership with Loyola Industrial Training Institute, thereby helping deserving students find employment in the automobile sector via impairment of technical training and education. This partnership will provide a platform to relatively indigent youngsters to obtain a job oriented technical training in two wheeler repair and servicing that meets industry standards.”
Students will receive a Yamaha Technical Academy (YTA) certificate and a certificate issued by the Institute to help secure a job.
