Xiaomi today launched Redmi 3S in China. The Redmi 3S comes in two variants- 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The phones have been priced at CNY 699 (approx Rs 7,000) and CNY 899 (approx Rs 9,000) for 2GB and 3GB variants, respectively. The company hasn’t announced its plans for India yet.
The Redmi 3S comes with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, which runs at a speed of 1.1GHz. The processor is supported with Adreno 505 GPU. Both the phones support expandable storage up to 128GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels. It runs MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The latest Xiaomi phone also carries a fingerprint scanner under the camera on the back. The Redmi 3S has a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash and f2.0 aperture. The smartphone also has a 5-megapixel front camera. Both the cameras are capable of recording videos at 1080p resolution.
The dualSIM phone has a hybrid SIM slot, which means the second slot can also be used for a microSD card.
Despite packing a massive 4100mAh battery, the Redmi 3S is pretty light at 144 grams. The phone will be available in grey, silver and gold colours.
