Total India partners with Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy
Total, a leading International oil and gas company, and the world’s second-ranked solar energy operator has partnered with Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy, an institution committed to mentoring young aspiring cricketers and readying them to take on as future leaders of cricket representing India on a global platform.
With this initiative, Total India has embarked on a new journey of unleashing hidden talent of Indian youth and helping them meet their aspirations of making a mark in the game of professional cricket. The partnership entails support for the academy to create the requisite infrastructure and also provide best coaching facilities. Moreover Total will continue to facilitate workshops and tournaments initiated by the academy and provide other facilities such as kit bags for trainees, sports material and training equipment.
The academy also organizes a cricket tournament ‘Total Cup’ for players under 14 years of age in association with Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). Since its inception, the academy has produced stalwarts in the field of cricket such as Yuvraj Singh, Ajit Agarkar, Romesh Pawar, Dhaval Kulkarni to name a few. The academy has also produced players who have been successful in Ranji Trophy. Every year, the academy trains around 100 cricketers.

He has also been awarded with C K Naidu Lifetime Achievement Award by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Ever since its humble beginnings in 1994, the academy has emerged as one of the prominent cricket academies of India with global outreach. It is committed to impeccable and uncompromising coaching standards, free coaching philosophy, and advanced training facilities to promote cricket talent at a young age.
