Sonam Kapoor has replaced Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as a brand ambassador of Kalyan Jewellers. Earlier Aishwarya Rai was the brand ambassador of the brand but now the company has contracted with Sonam Kapoor. Aishwarya Rai was brand ambassador of the jewellery from last three years and Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan also did a ad for the brand.
In a statement, Ramesh Kalyanaraman, Executive Director, Marketing and Operations of the Kalyan Group has expressed his gratitude to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has endorsed the band for many years.
He continued in his statement that they hope that Sonam’s popularity will further strengthen the future product campaigns of Kalyan Jewellers.
It is needless to say that the ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ actress’s has added another feature in her cap after becoming the face of this jewellery brand.
Now company has retain the contract with Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan but said goodbye to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Now Sonam Kapoor is new face for the jewellery and now she will do ads of gold and diamond for the company.
Sonam Kapoor’s last two movies Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Neerja were the super hit at the box office and she also known for style icon of Bollywood. On the other hand Aishwarya is trying very hard to making a good comeback and this is going to be so bad for her career now.
On the work front, Sonam is on board sister Rhea Kapoor’s production, which is to be helmed by “Khoobsurat” director Shashanka Ghosh. Interestingly, it’s an ensemble cast and she’s not at the centre of it. “For me, the interest level in a character is not dictated by the number of scenes in which I am visible,” the Asian Age quoted her as saying.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya has wrapped up a schedule of “Sarbjit.” Directed by Omung Kumar, the film is scheduled for a May 20 release.
