Singapore: A Singapore-India collaborated app is offering e-tickets for Asian tourist destinations especially tailored to suit tastes of Indian tourists.
An NRI-owned app Travelease is Made in India by Coimbatore-based Skybridge Infotech, Noida-based AppInventiv Technologies and Singapores Travelease Pte Ltd.
“Travelease is increasing its list of Asian attractions in cities such as Singapore and Dubai which are on the itineraries of young Indian travellers,” said co-founder and director Sumit Khemani of the app operating company.
The app helps with locations and sites such as vegetarian restaurants, art centres, museums, sight-seeing spots and exotic places that young travellers want to explore, he said.
Citing travel data, he said that 22.8 million Indians travelled overseas last year. Top of the list was Dubai with 1.8 million Indian tourists, followed by Singapore with 1.1 million, Bangkok with 1.05 million and 700,000 Kuala Lumpur.
Hong Kong, Bali, Jakarta, Tokyo and Taipei are also popular destinations for Indian tourists. PTI
