The 5G network, with its less to almost nil latency, will make people to experience their workspaces in real time. Says Mr.

“With 5G’s ability to offer less than 5 milliseconds latency compared to around 60 milliseconds of 4G and with an estimated capacity to support 100x traffic than the current ones, 5G opens up enormous possibilities for innovation and service quality. It significantly boosts technologies like Metaverse and VR/AR applications.

With most of our workforce working remotely in the IT/ITES industry and the hybrid work model is here to stay, I would expect HR technology platforms to integrate AR. The 5G network, with its less to almost nil latency, will make people experience their workspaces in real-time. With the 5G as the backbone, organizations can provide an immersive experience to people while onboarding and rollout effective training programs.

Of course, we are still in the early stages, and much more needs to be changed from the backbone infrastructure perspective to take full advantage of 5G. But I believe the speed with which technology evolves, and with 4G already prevalent and Network Providers trying to take advantage of that by looking for solutions to overlay 5G infrastructure over that, 5G is just around the corner.”
