Miraaz Fashions by Sunena & Gagan opened its gleaming gates in Karol Bagh for the fashion enthusiasts of the Capital with much glitterati and fan fare. All geared up to dress its patrons in a dream-like fashion, Miraaz aims to revolutionalize the market styles and existing trends.
While the visitors appreciated the mesmerizing plethora of colors and styles, our Chief Guests – enigmatic Indian film actress, model and anchor Karishma Tanna, led the evening in style. Karishma adorned a blue hand-made thread work gown and looked every bit of her lovely self.
Speaking at the event, a thrilled Tanna expressed her desire to wear a Sunena & Gagan creation on her wedding day – “These designs are so impressive. It is like a Mughal collection with a modern feel in it.”
Elucidating the concept of Miraaz, Sunena said, “With our designs we try to convert the dreams into reality and that is why we labeled our store as ‘Miraaz’ which is derived from the word Mirage that means dream/hallucination. We try to covert the fairytales into reality to make you feel like a real life princess”
The event wasn’t short of glamour [to say the least] as Kavya Khurana, Roadies X4 Contestant performed as the anchor for the evening and addressed other special guests President Marwah Studios Sandeep Marwah, leading makeup artist Meenakshi Dutt[who wore a priceless Miraaz saree with an embroidered jacket], her husband Umesh Dutt, top fashion designer Leena Bidani with her husband Vikas Bidani, and International Fashion Consultant Chairman at International Institute of Fashion Technology, Ratnadeep Lal.
Once the glitterati settled down, Sufi singer Ishaan Arora gripped the guests with his compelling voice and sang live at the fashion show. This turned out to be the highlight of the evening as the fashion shows were segregated to showcase two prime collections of Miraaz – Bridal wear and Gowns. The ramp came alive with an amalgamation of Miraaz’ fashion ensemble and the models who flaunted it including Shikha Taneja, Gatima Sahu, Sakshi Nabh, Stefy Patel, and Parul Sharma.
This magnificent evening was concluded with cocktails and dinner.
