Microsoft has been among the biggest names when it comes to the world of technology. The software giant has been around for a really long time and has brought forward a number of changes into the way we know the industry to be. This morning, Microsoft teased that they’re about to launch something that’s ‘exclusively for India‘. The launch took place minutes later, as the company launched Kaizala – a workplace chat app.
Kaizala is a productivity app from Microsoft which aims at improving workplace communication and collaboration. It will make it easier for members within the organization to interact with each other, as well as with third party vendors and partners. It is a free app which comes for Android as well as iOS users. However, a ‘pro’ version of the app is also available which comes in at Rs. 130 per user per month.
The pro version of Kaizala gives the users more control over the app, allowing them access to features such as user and group management controls, advanced reporting and analytics, ability to publish custom actions, etc. The app has been under testing for quite a while. Major organizations such as Yes Bank, Apollo Telemedicine, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Republic TV, etc. have been using it for communication. The app has also interested the Government of the state of Andhra Pradesh, as over 30 departments and 70,000 people working there are connected using the app.
“Microsoft Kaizala is a ‘Made for India’ product and brings together the two disparate worlds of mobile-only messaging apps and a digitally integrated modern workplace,” Microsoft India president Anant Maheshwari told reporters in New Delhi.“Microsoft Kaizala has been optimised to work on 2G networks to enable connectivity in remote locations and offers features with offline support.” This is indeed an interesting app from Microsoft, and it has been made exclusively for the Indian users.
