Lexus has officially revealed prices of the LX450d in India on its official website. The SUV is available in a single variant in India that is priced at Rs. 2,32,41,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The LX450d is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser. It uses the same 4.5-litre V8 diesel engine that churns out 261 BHP @ 3,400 rpm and 650 Nm of torque @ 1,600-2,600 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels. Lexus claims that the LX450d can deliver a fuel economy of 9.6 km/l. The SUV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds, before hitting its top speed of 210 km/h.
Features on offer with the LX 450d include full LED illumination for the headlights, cornering lamps, fog lights and taillights. On the inside, the SUV comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation support that is mated to a 19-speaker Mark Levinson Reference sound system. Other features include 4-zone climate control, 8-inch displays for rear occupants and 4-Camera Multi-Terrain back monitor system.
The LX 450d is the third car to be launched in India under the Lexus brand, after the ES 300h and the RX 450h. It will be brought into the country through the CBU route and will compete against the Range Rover.
