The bookings for the all-new 2016 Hyundai Elantra has been started by dealerships in India and the all-new Elantra will be launched on August 23, 2016.
Dealers in Delhi have started to collect bookings for Rs. 25,000 and in Mumbai, dealers are asking Rs. 50,000 as bookings for the new Hyundai Elantra.
There is not much known about the variants or trims to be available on the new Hyundai Elantra. The new car will replace the current selling Elantra and will rival the likes of Skoda Octavia and Toyota Corolla.
The Hyundai Elantra is expected to be powered by a choice of two engines, a 2.0-litre petrol which produces 147bhp and a 1.6-litre diesel engine which develops 134bhp. The engine will be mated to either a 6-speed automatic or manual or Hyundai might get the 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox for the new Elantra in India.
Hyundai is expected to price the new Elantra in the range of Rs. 16 to 20 lakh ex-showroom and boasts of premium features.
Also, dealers are providing discounts in the range of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 50,000 on the current model to clear stocks.
