Team Estrade// – With eyes on the offline market, Honor has launched the Honor 8 Lite in India for Rs 17,999. It is a stripped down version of the Honor 8 flagship ,the company had launched last year in India.
The Honor 8 Lite sports a 5.2-inch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass on both the front and the back. It basically retains the design of the Honor 8 sans the dual camera. Under the hood is Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 655 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. Honor is offering 64GB of storage which can be further expanded using a microSD card. There is a fingerprint sensor in the back, under the camera.
The Honor 8 Lite is also Honor’s first phone in India to come out with EMUI 5.0 which Honor has cleaned up quite a lot and made a few changes here and there. The phone is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
The phone sports a 12-megapixel camera on the back with f/2.2 aperture and phase detection autofocus. The 1.25um pixels are big enough to absorb light without worrying about it spilling over to neighbouring pixels. On the front is a 8-megapixel shooter with a 77-degree wide-angle lens.
The odd thing about this phone is that it won’t be available online. Honor is gunning for the offline market with the phone. The phone will be available from 12th May 2017 across retail stores in India for a maximum price of Rs 17,999. The Honor 8 Lite will be initially available in Premium Black colour variant first , with the blue variant coming later this month.
