After the recent reduction in prices for the Figo hatch and the Figo Aspire sedan, the American manufacturer has increased the prices for its flagship SUV in India.
Ford India has announced that they will be increasing the prices of the Endeavour SUV in India. This decision comes only days after the company announced a reduction in the prices of the Figo hatch and the Figo Aspire compact sedan.
According to this recent price modification the SUV is INR 1.62lakh costlier than what it used to be before. Earlier, the prices for the Endeavour started at INR 23.64lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and clocked at INR 28.15lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) for the top-spec model.
With this price revision the prices now fall between the range of INR 25lakh (ex-showroom) for the basic model and go up to INR 29.77lakh (ex-showroom) for the top of the line variant. Talking about the Figo hatch and Aspire compact sedan, so the former saw a decrease in its price by about INR 50,000 while the latter between INR 20,000 to INR 90,000.
Launched in India this year, the 2016 Ford Endeavour is a completely new vehicle and is being imported to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). The Endeavour looks and feels like a proper off-roader that can offer sufficient amount of comfort and convenience.
Under the hood, the 2016 Ford Endeavour is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine which churns out 158bhp along with 3.2-litre diesel engine which is good for 197bhp. The transmission responsibilities are handled by a 6-speed manual while a 6-speed automatic gearbox is on offer as well.
So far the Endeavour was not available for registration in New Delhi due to the ban on diesel vehicles fitted with engine exceeding 2,000cc in engine capacity, but will be now, with an added tax as the ban has been lifted now.
