Cocktail

Bollywood blockbuster Cocktail, starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty, was extensively shot in the Cape Town. The popular song ‘Tum Hi Ho Bandhu’ was shot at Maiden’s Cove in the Camps Bay Area. This gorgeous, scenic lookout spot lies between two beaches and has great views of the sea and mountains. Ideal for some relaxing down time, Maiden’s Cove has a tidal pool for swimming and big boulders to lounge around on.

The perfect weather in Cape Town at the time of the shoot also allowed Table Mountain, the Twelve Apostles, and V&A Waterfront to be featured in the filming.

Aashiqui 2

Camps Bay Beach, a blue flag beach since 2008, seems to be a popular shooting spot – owing to the unique scenic ocean vistas offered. Film-makers are able to capture the deep blue, clear ocean between Lions Head and Table Mountain, and also get beautiful golden light during certain times of the day at this white sand beach. Aashiqui 2’s chart-topping song, ‘Hum Mar Jayenge’ was shot entirely in the Camps Bay Area.

Ghajini

The ultimate beach destination – Muizenberg, is known for its multi-coloured Victorian-styled bathing boxes. It is also a Blue Flag Beach, which means that it gets full marks for safety, recreational facilities, and eco-consciousness. Aamir Khan shook a leg to the song ‘Behka’ for his movie Ghajini (2008) on this iconic beach.

Sanju:

The song ‘Kar Har Maidaan Fateh’ from the 2018 movie Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, was entirely shot at Boulder’s Beach and the majestic Table Mountain in Cape Town. Table Mountain is one of the most popular attractions of Cape Town.

The song even features Ranbir Kapoor hiking up the magnificent mountain, in a moment of victory.
