Discovery Communications has announced the launch of a Hindi GEC, Jeet. The channel will go on-air in late 2017 informed a statement. The statement added that the channel will be the flagship for the network’s investment into original local productions in India.
The programme genres including true crime investigations, small-town heroes and gritty survival. To begin with, Discovery will have around hours of local content originals which will premiere on this new channel.
Jeet target young male audiences, in the metros and in tier II and tier III cities. Karan Bajaj, SVP and GM, South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific, said, “We are excited to launch Discovery Jeet, which will bring a new style of entertainment, in a truly local, bespoke, ground-up offering.
