Audi has launched the RS7 Performance in India that is priced at Rs 1.60 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Performance pack makes the RS7 wilder. The 4.0-litre TFSI Bi-Turbo V8 engine produces 605 BHP of maximum power with 750 Nm of peak torque with Overboost function.
Compared to the regular RS7 engine, the Performance version produces 45 BHP and 50 Nm more. The RS7 Performance comes with a cylinder on demand feature that deactivates 4 cylinders if driven sedately and engages back full 8 cylinders when it senses high throttle inputs.
The Audi RS7 Performance does the 0-100 km/hr sprint in just 3.7 seconds while the top speed is claimed to be 305 km/hr. The engine comes mated to a 8-speed tiptronic transmission. The RS7 Performance gets the Quattro technology with permanent all-wheel drive system and sports differential.
Even though the RS7 is a V8 monster, Audi claims a fuel efficiency of 10.5 km/l if driven with a light foot. Some of the key features of the RS7 Performance include four-zone automatic air conditioning, MMI navigation plus with touchpad control (MMI touch), Heads-up display, Bose surround system, Independent Sports Air Suspension and RS Sports exhaust system.
