Amazon Prime Video is competing with HotStar and Netflix. At the subscription of Rs. 499 a year, the service is at a strong introductory price point when compared to the competition. Indian markets are generally very price sensitive and given the pirated content availability for free, only time will tell the success of paid instant on-demand video.
