Hiranandani Institute of Learning launches Professional Real Estate Management Course
# Course launch timing is just right, given the requirements of working in the post-GST and RERA environment
MUMBAI: As Indian real estate makes the transition into an era of transparent and professionally managed real estate companies, the Hiranandani Institute of Learning (HIL), Powai, has launched a Professional Diploma in Real Estate Management.
On 05 August 2017, the sprawling campus of HIL, Powai saw a galaxy of industry and academic heads attend the launch function. These included Chairman, HIL, Dr Niranjan Hiranandani, Director – Dr. Manju Nichani and the HIL team of faculty and students. The Real Estate industry was well represented by Mr Duggal of Essel Group, Mr Ambar of Indiabulls and Mr Ramchandani of CRISIL. Also present were representatives from K Raheja, Colliers, Cushman & Wakefield and Tata Housing, as part of the industry team supporting this high-value course.
The course, which is spread over four months of theoretical class-based education and a one month internship,offers two options: Weekday classes –on Tuesday and Thursday, from 10 am to 1 pm, while the weekend option will offer Saturday & Sunday classes from 3 pm to 6 pm. The curriculum and pedagogy have been specially designed for students who will comprise those from the industry with some work experience, by senior industry professionals from Hiranandani, Tata Housing, Mahindra Lifespaces, Indiabulls, Raheja, etc. The faculty is also drawn from these industry leaders.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Chairman, Hiranandani Institute of Learning, stressed on the need for professionalism in shaping up Real Estate in its journey from a largely unorganized industry to a properly organized industry. “Real Estate is now consumer-led market and not a developer-led market,” he said, stressing on the need for such a professional course for Real Estate.
The Professional Diploma in Real Estate management by HIL consists of three modules – Construction Module, Marketing / Sales Module and Knowledge Module. These three modules cover the entire gamut of Real Estate Management. The Knowledge Module is significant in the light of RERA and GST implications. This module will also cover financial management, legal aspects, etc.There are plans to incorporate three different site visits, guided by industry experts.
The Professional Diploma in Real Estate Management by HIL will provide students with a short-term professional course, which will help candidates interested in carving out their own quality niche in the highly competitive real estate market, said Dr Niranjan Hiranandani. “This, like the other courses at the Hiranandani Institute of Learning will help students acquire lifelong, the Hiranandani brand of professionalism, quality and proficiency,” he concluded.
