Lenovo has unveiled the Moto G Play in India. The device is will go on sale on Amazon India.
The device sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The device inherits various design elements from the G4 family, with the oval camera module and textured back panel.
Moto G Play also gets the water-resistant nano-coating, just like on the G4 and G4 Plus, which prevents the device from accidental spills and splashes.
Talking about the hardware on the device, the Moto G Play is running on a dated Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM.
Users get 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded using a microSD card up to 128GB. This hardware setup was also seen in Moto G 2 and 3.
In the camera department, The Moto G Play gets an 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. For selfie lovers, the device gets a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera is capable of shooting full-HD videos at 30fps.
The Indian variant is expected to get a dual-SIM card slot. The device also supports 4G LTE connectivity. Powering the smartphone is a 2800mAh battery and comes with a 10W Rapid Charger available in-box, which Moto claims can get 5 hours of back-up in just 15 minutes of charge.
Moto G Play is priced at Rs 8,999, and will be available in both black and white colour variants. The device comes with various launch offers. Buyers can get Rs 15,000 Yatra e-cash from Yatra.com. Moreover they can also get Rs 300 cashback on Moto Pulse 2 headphones.
