After her stint as a judge on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Madhuri Dixit is returning to television with another dance-based reality show.
While &TV, who have bought the rights to the format of the American show, So You Think You Can Dance, had approached Hrithik Roshan and Varun Dhawan to be on the judges’ panel (Mirror, February 18), the channel has now finalised Madhuri, along with choreographers Terence Lewis and Bosco Martis.
A source revealed, “The show is expected to go on air by May. Madhuri gave her nod this week. Mouni Roy (of Naagin fame) has been signed on as the female anchor and the makers are looking for a male counterpart. The show will follow the format of bringing amateur and professional dancers together.”
Terence Lewis confirmed the news, saying, “Bosco will take charge of street and raw urban style while I’ll look into the technical aspects of the performances, since I come from a stage background. Madhuri wil oversee the Indian styles.” The actress has previously served as a judge on Jhalak from seasons four to seven, before she was replaced by Shahid Kapoor.
