The Government of Andhra Pradesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with G&C Global Consortium Pvt Ltd to set up an “Integrated Mega Tourism Infrastructure Development Project”. The project will be spread over 48.57 acres on the riverfront of ‘Krishna river’ and ‘Paleru river’, strategically located at the confluence of both these rivers at Mukthyala Village, near Jaggayyapeta in Krishna District. The total cost of the project is Rs 218.00 crores. The project is integrated with a “World-class Mixed-Use Infrastructure” that is spread across 310 acres.
The proposed world-class ‘Tourism Destination Development Project’ has been envisioned as an Integrated Mega Tourism Infrastructure Development Project with cultural, heritage, spiritual, wellness, MICE, eco & adventure tourism components, with an integration of hospitality, leisure, recreation and entertainment concepts.
The proposed ‘Tourism Destination Development Project’ on the banks of both the rivers with panoramic scenic beauty and exotic serene environment, most ideally named as ‘Alakananda Riverfront’ is positioned as the ‘Gateway of Amaravati Capital Region’, connecting the Capital Region of Andhra Pradesh with Hyderabad City in particular.
The project will have an array of ‘Project Components’ such as ‘Wellness Tourism’ with AYUSH Health Spa, Green Rated Eco Resort, Recuperation, Rehabilitation and Rejuvenation Centers, exclusive Wellness Center for Senior Citizens, Botanical Garden, Herbal Garden; Handicrafts Bazaar; Spiritual and Buddhist Cultural and Heritage
Centers and Museum, Amusement theme parks, among others.
This project is said to create direct and indirect jobs to more than 10,000 people. The MoU was signed in the presence of RP Kajuria, Commissioner of Tourism and AVR Chowdary, Founder Chairman of G&C Global Consortium Pvt Ltd recently.
G&C Global Consortium also decided to develop an exclusive ‘Bathing Ghat’ in the ‘Project Site’ as their contribution, to support the AP Government’s massive efforts in making elaborate arrangements for the
Krishna Pushkaraalu. The Ghat will accommodate more than 1 lakh pilgrims per day and also accommodate more than 7000 cars parking. 30 permanent toilets and changing rooms, sheds for Pinda Prasadam and food for 4000 pilgrims will also be arranged.
